Description:
Wild Leap Chance IPA is an easy-drinking, juicy IPA inspired by Northeastern and East Coast styles. It balances a soft, hazy malt profile with an aromatic hop character featuring grapefruit, melon, strawberry and passion fruit. Despite its abundance of juicy hop flavor, the bitterness remains soft and approachable, making Chance an excellent IPA for both dedicated craft-beer drinkers and customers who prefer a smoother, less aggressively bitter IPA.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Grapefruit, passion fruit, melon and strawberry
Flavor: Juicy citrus and tropical fruit with a balanced malt backbone
Bitterness: Soft and approachable
Body: Smooth, hazy and easy-drinking
Finish: Refreshing, fruity and gently hoppy
Food Pairing:
Excellent with burgers, grilled meats, spicy foods, barbecue, tacos and sharp cheeses. For Midtown Provisions, pair it with Wagyu burgers, brined pork chops or grilled sausage.
Interesting Facts:
Chance was one of the first two beers Wild Leap ever released, along with Local Gold, and remains part of the brewery's core lineup. The name reflects Wild Leap's original philosophy of taking chances and making a “wild leap” when an opportunity presents itself.
Chance also has a strong reputation among craft-beer drinkers: BeerAdvocate currently lists it at 90/100 (“Outstanding”), while Untappd shows roughly 24,000+ ratings.
Serving Recommendation:
Serve cold, approximately 38–45°F. As a hop-forward IPA, keep the keg refrigerated and serve fresh for the best hop aroma and flavor.
