Ratings: 93 Points – James Suckling • 91+ Points – Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Description:
A powerful, richly textured Petite Sirah with concentrated blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and cassis, layered with black pepper, dark chocolate, licorice, vanilla and savory spice. Dense and full-bodied with substantial yet polished tannins, excellent depth and a long, dark-fruited finish.
Pairing Recommendation:
Excellent with Prime Ribeye, smoked brisket, braised short ribs, lamb, grilled mushrooms or aged Gouda. For Midtown Provisions, pair with a thick-cut Prime Ribeye or braised beef short ribs.
Serve: Around 65°F. Stags' Leap recommends giving Petite Sirah substantial air; for this 2018, open and taste first, then decant as needed.
