Description:
A distinctive high-elevation Cabernet grown on volcanic soils filled with black obsidian in the Mayacamas Mountains. Deep and concentrated with flavors of blackberry, blueberry and ripe black fruit, layered with violet, black olive, rosemary, tobacco, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla and warm spice. Firm acidity and structured tannins give the wine freshness and balance, while its volcanic mountain site contributes a notable mineral character.

Pairing Recommendation:
Excellent with Prime Ribeye, rack of lamb, beef short ribs, venison or grilled steak. For Midtown Provisions, pair with a Prime Ribeye. The winery particularly recommends grilled, roasted and seared foods, while Wine Enthusiast recommends lamb shank with the 2022.
