Description:
A rich, polished Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley with generous flavors of ripe blackberry and black cherry, accented by allspice, star anise, subtle oak and coconut. The 2020 is 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Petit Verdot, Merlot and other varieties adding depth and complexity. It has a silky texture, soft tannins and a smooth, fruit-driven finish.
Pairing Recommendation:
Excellent with Prime Ribeye, NY Strip, beef tenderloin, braised short ribs, rack of lamb or aged cheeses. For Midtown Provisions, I’d pair this with a Prime NY Strip—the wine’s ripe dark fruit, spice and silky tannins work beautifully with a well-marbled steak.
Serve: Around 60–65°F. With the 2020 having several years of bottle age now, I’d open it about 30 minutes before serving and give it additional air if needed.
